The TCS New York City Marathon, the premier event of New York Road Runners, is held on the first Sunday in November and runs through the five boroughs of New York City. Marathoners begin in Staten Island and then go through Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx, before finishing in Central Park in Manhattan. I designed a series of typographic posters which can also be used as countdown timers one week before the event starts. When you put them together in order, they combine to form a huge poster that also displays the marathon route. I also replaced the fluorescent color palette that sports events usually use with high-saturation blues to convey optimism and growth.
