About this project:
Winters are often cold and snowy in New York City. In order to bring some light to commuters waiting for the bus before dawn, fighting the cold and sluggish feeling of winter, I launched this project called Good Morning.
This video presents the delivery of 60 pop-up cards in five mornings in November 2018. When the bus commuters received the cards, the pop-up sun illuminated their mornings, emitting light and energy as it emerged from the cold and snow. I also made a series of flipping boards with changing background colors and an animation based on a song called “Stay Alive” by José González for social media and other digital activation. The effort is part of my school assignment called How Design Can Touch a Group of People’s Hearts.
